The Weaver

My life is but a weaving
Between my Lord and me,
I cannot choose the colors
He worketh steadily.

Oftimes He weaveth sorrow,
And I in foolish pride
Forget He sees the upper
And I, the underside.

Not till the loom in silent
And the shuttles cease to fly
Shall God unroll the canvas
And explain the reason why.

The dark threads are as needful
In the Weaver's skillful hand
As the threads of gold and silver
In the pattern He has planned.

A Little Note from Cobblestone Road Ministries:

Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that
love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

The Bible says, "All things..." Yet Christians are not exempt from
feeling pain or frustration at times. They ask, "Why me?" But that is not
the right question. The question that should be asked is, "What is the
Lord trying to teach me through all of this?" You see if we would only
trust Him in all things, we would know that He works all things out
for our good. He is weaving a beautiful tapestry.

1Peter 1:7
That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that
perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and
honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

Every gifted artist knows that a good painting requires light hues and dark
hues to make the painting a masterpiece. A tapestry needs the same.
It isn't until our life on earth is over that we are able to see the beautiful

and complete outcome. Faithful is the Father's love-- Faithful to keep us.
For the Christian is in Christ Jesus and there we abide.

There are many lessons to be learned as we journey toward
Heaven and every one of us is living on borrowed time. This life is but
a drop of vapour-- literally-- in comparison to the eternity that awaits us
on the other side. Whatever you may be going through today,
know that Christ Jesus promised never to leave you, nor forsake you
and that God works all things for our good. Trust Him-- for He will never
fail you! Believe His Word-- know His promises are true. To every
Believer, Jesus Christ promises life eternal. Do you know Him as
your personal Savior? He died for your sins. He loves you!
